About the event
This year marks the 80th anniversary of the victory of the Chinese People’s War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression and the World Anti-Fascist War. To honor history and remember the martyrs, the Overseas Anti-Japanese War Memorial Hall will host a series of commemorative events.
The first event will be the launch and book signing ceremony for For the Sake of Peace — In Memory of the Chinese Generals Who Sacrificed Their Lives in the World Anti-Fascist War. The author, Mr. Yu Dianbao, dedicated many years to compiling this monumental work in tribute to the 982 Chinese generals who heroically gave their lives during the anti-fascist war. This three-volume masterpiece represents Mr. Yu’s heartfelt and tireless efforts, chronicling the stirring epic of “982 generals whose blood nourished the land and whose spirits forged the Chinese nation.” Mr. Yu will personally attend the event to unveil the new book and sign complimentary copies for guests.
